
A small and virtually unknown sister island of St Vincent and the grenadines, where history and a constraining lively hood dictate the frugal lives of its people and determine and individualism unique to all who by chance set foot upon it tranquil shores. Mayreau the last island where mother nature still co- operates with ancient fishing tradition and a village culture of simplicity freedom and absolute its home to over 300 residents.
Mayreau lies between sister island Canouan and Union island and is accessible only by boat. Ferries travel from mainland St Vincent to these grenadines Islands 3 times per week

Hike along the trail from Salt Whistle Bay up to the quaint little village, with friendly bars, local restaurants, and a lovely Catholic church which offers a panoramic view of the Tobago Cays. From Saline Bay a road also leads to the village or across the southern part of the island to the salt pond where you can collect rock salt in the dry season, or continue on to explore the pristine beaches.
